Everyone seems to be closing out the year with the obligatory top 10 lists.  I’m not going to go for the 10 favorite photos.  I’ll just settle for one.  Here is my favorite photo from 2011.

Natural Fireworks

We were about ready to leave the house for the fireworks show at Stockton Lake, MO as we do every year.  It had looked like rain on and off all day, but this was starting to look more substantial.  When we got to the field to setup the storm was just rolling around us and positioned itself right where everyone was setup to watch the fireworks.  We got about 45 minutes of lightning while we waited for the fireworks to start.  I love the natural show right above the fireworks tent.
